- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. corn syrup
- 1 c. water
- 1/4 tsp. salt (optional)
- 3 qt. popped corn
Directions

1In a quart saucepan, combine sugar, syrup and water.

2Bring to boil over medium heat.

3Reduce heat; cook until candy thermometer reaches 280° or candy forms a ball when dropped in cold water. Remove from heat.

4Add salt.

5Pour over popcorn; stir to coat well.

6Shape into balls with buttered hands.

7Makes 12 popcorn balls.
