- 2 qt. popped corn
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. corn syrup
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Preheat oven to 250°.

2Put popcorn in a large 4-inch deep buttered baking pan (like a roaster).

3Keep popcorn warm in oven. Combine sugar, syrup, water, butter and salt in saucepan.

4Stir over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.

5Cook until mixture reaches 250° on candy thermometer, stirring frequently.

6Remove from heat and immediately stir in vanilla. Remove popcorn from oven.

7Pour syrup mixture over popcorn, stirring to mix well. Form into balls.

8(Make sure hands are well buttered; popcorn will be very hot and very sticky.)

9Makes approximately 8 large or 12 to 14 small.
