  • 3 qt. popped corn
  • 1/3 c. corn syrup
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/3 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. white vinegar
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    In heavy 2-quart pan, stir together syrup, sugar, water, salt, butter and vinegar.

    Stirring constantly, cook over medium heat until mixture boils.

    Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until temperature reaches 270° on candy thermometer.

    Remove from heat; stir in vanilla.

    Slowly pour over popcorn, stirring to coat well.

    When just cool enough, but warm, shape into balls.

    Keep in plastic wrap.
