- 4 1/2 c. mixed Chex or similar type cereal
- 4 c. unseasoned popcorn, popped
- 1/4 c. margarine
- 6 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 to 2 c. any good nuts (pecans, almonds or Spanish peanuts)
- 2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Preheat oven to 250°.

2In open roasting pan, combine cereal and popcorn; set aside.

3In medium saucepan, combine margarine, sugar, corn syrup and vanilla.

4Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes or until mixture is boiling, stirring frequently.

5Pour hot mixture over cereal mixture, stirring until all pieces are evenly coated.

6Bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Spread on waxed paper to cool, stirring occasionally.

7Store in an airtight container.

8Makes about 10 cups.
