- 1 c. butter
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 5 qt. popped corn
- 3 (2 3/4 ) pkg. almonds
- 2 (5 oz.) pkg. pecans
Directions

1Combine butter, sugar, syrup and salt in heavy saucepan; bring to boil stirring constantly.

2Boil without stirring 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

3Stir in vanilla and baking soda.

4Pour mixture over corn and nuts, quickly stir until well coated.

5Pour mixture into 2 (9 x 13-inch) pans.

6Bake at 250° until dry, about 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.

7Remove from oven, spread apart, cool and store in airtight container.

8Yields 5 1/2 quarts.
