- 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/4 c. poppy seed
- 3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 1/3 c. vegetable oil
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Heat oven to 350°.

2Grease the bottom only of a 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan or 2 (8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch) loaf pans.

3Mix all of the ingredients and beat for 30 seconds.

4Pour into pans.

5Bake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

6For 9 x 5 x 3-inch pan, bake 55 to 65 minutes.

7For the 2 (8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 2 1/2-inch) loaf pans, bake 55 to 60 minutes.

8Cool slightly. Loosen the sides of the loaf from the pan and remove the bread from the pan.

9Cool completely before slicing.

10Refrigerate no longer than 1 week.
