  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 lb. (1 c.) butter
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 1/3 c. poppy seed (dried, not the Solo brand filling)
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. sour cream
  • 2 c. all-purpose flour

Directions

    Cream sugar and butter.

    Beat egg yolks; add to sugar mixture. Add poppy seed.

    Dissolve soda in sour cream.

    Add sour cream alternately with flour.

    Beat egg whites until stiff; fold into mixture.

    Bake in an ungreased tube pan for 1 hour at 350°. Invert to cool.
