- 2-1/4 c. flour
- 1-1/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. poppy seeds
- 1 Tbsp. baking powder
- 3 eggs
- 1-1/4 c. milk
- 1/4 c. vegetable oil
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. pecans or almonds, chopped
Directions

1In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, poppy seeds and baking powder.

2In another bowl, beat eggs with milk, oil and vanilla until blended.

3Stir liquids into dry ingredients until smooth.

4Mix in the nuts.

5Pour batter into two greased and floured 9 x 5 inch loaf pans.

6Bake at 350° for 50-60 minutes or until loaves test done.

7Cool for 5 minutes.

8Remove from pans. Finish cooling on racks.

9Serve warm or at room temperature.
