  • 3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. poppy seeds
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 3/4 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 1/2 tsp. butter flavoring
  • Orange glaze

    Combine first 11 ingredients in a large bowl; beat 2 minutes at medium speed of electric mixer.

    Spoon batter into 2 greased and floured 8-inch by 4-inch by 3-inch loaf pans; bake at 350° for 1 hour or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean Pour orange glaze over poppyseed bread after it has cooled 5 minutes.

    Cool 5 more minutes and remove from pans; place on rack to finish cooling.
