Ingredients

  • 2 lb fresh green beans
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 each hamhocks
  • 1 1/2 lb yukon gold potatoes, quartered
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp season salt
  • 32 oz of your favorite chicken stock.
  • 1 freshly ground black pepper to taste

Directions

    Clean and trim beans

    Put beans in slow cooker
  3. 3
    Add chicken stock to just cover the beans.

    Add potatoes, onions, hamhocks, garlic and onion powder, season salt and black pepper

    Cover and cook on high till boiling

    Reduce heat to low and cook four hours or until potatoes are done.

    Serve in bowls with hard crusty bread.
