  • 2 lb. hamburger
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 c. uncooked rice
  • 2 1/2 c. canned tomatoes
  • 2 1/2 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped onion
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. chili powder

Directions

    Mix the hamburger, egg, milk, chili powder, salt and rice together and form into balls, 1 1/2-inches.

    Brown in a bit of oil.

    Boil the remaining ingredients together and drop in the meatballs.

    Cover and cook slowly for 1 1/2 hours.

    Makes 24 balls.
