Ingredients

  • 1 lb. turkey/chicken sausage
  • 2 1/2 c. rice
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 can (26 oz.) whole tomatoes
  • 1 c. onions
  • 1 c. green pepper
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 2 c. water
  • seasoned salt

Directions

    Mix turkey or chicken with 1 cup rice (washed).

    Add 1/2 cup onions, 1/2 cup peppers and seasoned salt.

    Mix well.

    Form in small balls.

    Brown in 2-quart pan.

    Add remaining washed rice, remaining onions, peppers and oregano.

    Cover and simmer.

    Let cook until the rice appears through the chicken balls.
