  • 4 slices bacon, diced
  • 2 c. chopped onions
  • 2 lb. pork shoulder, cubed
  • 1/2 to 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 c. chopped green bell pepper
  • 2 (14 oz.) cans tomatoes
  • 16 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 2 (16 oz.) cans kidney beans, drained (liquid reserved)
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 Tbsp. oregano
  • 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 c. tomato juice

    all but 1 tablespoon fat. Stir in onions and pork.

    Saute for 10 minutes, stirring constantly.
