- 6 lean pork chops
- 1 1/2 c. rice (uncooked)
- 1 can beef consomme
- 1 can water
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 large onion, sliced
Directions

1Brown chops on both sides in electric skillet.

2Add consomme, water and rice.

3Season with salt and pepper; add onion slices. Bring to boil; reduce to simmer for about 45 minutes in electric skillet, or bake, covered, in oven at 400°.

4Add more water if it dries too quickly.
