  • 6 lean pork chops
  • 1 1/2 c. rice (uncooked)
  • 1 can beef consomme
  • 1 can water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 large onion, sliced

Directions

    Brown chops on both sides in electric skillet.

    Add consomme, water and rice.

    Season with salt and pepper; add onion slices. Bring to boil; reduce to simmer for about 45 minutes in electric skillet, or bake, covered, in oven at 400°.

    Add more water if it dries too quickly.
