Pork Pizza Loaf

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 to 2 lb. ground pork
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 1/2 c. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 loaf French bread
  • 1 (8 oz.) can pizza sauce
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 can mushroom pieces
  • 1 medium ground pepper

Directions

    Brown ground pork.

    Add Parmesan cheese, salt, seasoning, garlic salt and 1/2 cup Mozzarella cheese.

    Remove bread from inside of halved loaves.

    Leave 1/2-inch shell.

    Spread bread halves with pizza sauce, reserving 1/4 to 1/2 cup.

    Place meat on bread and sauce; spread with reserved sauce.

    Place onion, mushrooms and ground pepper in layers on top of meat.

    Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup of cheese.

    Place on cookie sheet in oven; bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
