- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 4 lb. chuck roast
- 2 c. water
- 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can beef broth
- 1 (12 oz.) can tomato paste
- 1 (1 1/2 oz.) pkg. onion soup mix
Directions

1In Dutch oven in hot oil, brown meat on both sides.

2In medium bowl, mix remaining ingredients.

3Pour broth mixture over roast. Bake, covered, with foil or ovenproof lid at 350° for 3 to 4 hours or until meat is very tender.

4Drain fat.

5Makes 6 to 8 servings.
