- 3 lb. boneless chuck roast
- 1 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 envelope onion soup mix
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 2 c. water
- 4 medium potatoes, cubed
- 4 carrots, sliced
Directions

1In a pan, brown the roast in shortening on both sides, then put in a pot.

2Add 2 cups water to the onion soup and pour over the roast with the mushroom soup.

3Cook 1 1/2 hours or until almost tender, then add carrots and potatoes and cook until done.
