- 2 Tbsp. oil
- 3 1/2 to 4 lb. chuck roast
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix
- 1 1/4 c. water
- 6 potatoes
- 6 carrots
- 2 Tbsp. flour
Directions

1In a 6-quart pot, place oil.

2Brown roast on all sides.

3Cut off fat.

4Stir in mushroom soup mix and 1 cup water.

5Reduce heat to low.

6Cover and cook 2 hours.

7Add vegetables.

8Cover and cook 45 minutes or until roast and vegetables are tender.

9Recover roast.
-
10Stir flour and remaining 1/4 cup water until smooth. Mixture boils and thickens.
