  • 1 medium size potato
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 c. warm water
  • 2/3 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. soft shortening
  • 7 c. flour

Directions

    Boil and mash potato.

    Dissolve yeast in warm water (can use potato water).

    Add sugar, salt, shortening, eggs and mashed potato.
  4. 4
    Add 2 cups flour and beat.
  5. 5
    Add the rest of the flour. Use some flour on board and knead.

    Place in a greased bowl and let rise.

    Knead down once and place in refrigerator until ready to use.

    Bake at 350°.
