  • 1 (32 oz.) frozen hash brown potatoes
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 1/2 sticks melted margarine
  • 1 (8 oz.) jar jalapeno Cheez Whiz
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 small carton low-fat sour cream
  • 1 1/2 c. bread crumbs

Directions

    Place potatoes in 9 x 14-inch baking dish.

    Sprinkle onion over potatoes.

    Melt butter, pour half over potatoes and onion. Put cheese, soup and sour cream in boiler and heat until well mixed.

    Pour over potato mixture and stir well.

    Add rest of butter to bread crumbs.

    Spread on top of mixture.

    Bake 1 hour at 350°.
