- 3 qt. water
- 6 beef bouillon cubes
- 1 (1 lb.) bag dried split peas, washed and drained
- 3/4 c. finely chopped onion
- 1/2 c. finely chopped carrots
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
Directions

1Bring water to a boil in a large saucepot.

2Stir in bouillon cubes, split peas, onion, carrots, salt and pepper.

3Bring to a boil; reduce heat.

4Cover and simmer for about 5 hours.

5For thicker soup, cook longer.
