Ingredients

  • 9 to 12 potatoes or 1 1/2 bags hash browns
  • 1 pt. sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 3 Tbsp. milk (may need more)
  • 1 bunch green onions, chopped (regular onions)
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 small pkg. mild Cheddar cheese

Directions

    Scrub potatoes and cook in boiling, salted water until tender; cool.

    Peel and grate coarsely.

    Put soup and butter in a pan and heat it until the butter melts.

    Add the other ingredients and add to the potatoes.

    Mix thoroughly.

    Turn into buttered 9 x 13-inch pan.

    Smooth top.
