- 2 slices bacon (to taste)
- 13 cup chopped onion
- 2 cups diced raw potatoes
- 12 cup sliced fresh carrot
- 2 cups chicken stock
- 1 12 teaspoons salt
- 14 teaspoon ground sage
- 18 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 14 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons flour
- cheddar cheese
Directions

1Fry bacon until crisp in a saucepan large enough for soup.

2Remove bacon.

3Sweat onion and carrot until limp.

4Add potatoes, chicken stock and salt.

5Cover and cook until vegetables are tender.

6Add seasonings.

7Blend flour with 1/4 C milk and add with the remaining milk and heavy cream to the vegetable mixture, stirring constantly.

8Heat until slightly thickened.

9Crumble bacon and sprinkle over the soup.

10Add cheese and melt to taste.
