Potato Corn Chowder

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 c. diced potatoes
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen corn
  • 1/2 c. cooked ham
  • 13 oz. evaporated milk
  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. water
  • paprika

Directions

    Cook onion in butter until tender, but not brown.

    Add potatoes, 2 cups water, salt and pepper.

    Cover and simmer 15 minutes.

    Remove from heat, stir in corn, ham and milk.

    Blend flour with 1/2 cup water; stir into chowder.

    Cook until thickens. Sprinkle with paprika.

    Makes 6 cups.
