  • 1 c. mashed potatoes (can be cold)
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. melted butter
  • 3 1/2 c. flour
  • dash of cinnamon

Directions

    Mix all ingredients.

    Roll 3/4 to 1-inch thick.

    Cut into pieces about 1 1/2 x 2-inches.

    Deep fry at 375° until brown. Drain on paper towel.

    May be rolled in cinnamon and sugar or confectioners sugar while warm.

    Makes 3 to 4 dozen small donuts.
