Ingredients

  • 2 c. scalded milk
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 1/4 c. warm water
  • 1/2 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 c. mashed Irish potatoes
  • 5 c. flour (plain)

Directions

    In a large bowl, beat eggs.

    Add sugar, flavoring, salt, oil and warm potatoes mashed into yeast mixture.

    Put 1/4 cup warm water into a large cup with yeast.

    Let rise.

    Mix with all other ingredients.

    Let rise like yeast rolls.

    Roll and cut doughnuts; fry in deep oil.
