Potato Frank Chowder

- 3 c. finely diced raw potatoes
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 lb. frankfurters
- 1/3 c. chopped onion
- 1/3 c. chopped celery
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 1/4 c. (10 1/2 oz. can) cream of celery soup
- 1 c. skim milk or 1 c. reconstituted nonfat dry milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. dill weed
Directions

1Cook potatoes in water for 10 minutes, or until just tender. Slice frankfurters into 1/4-inch slices.

2Saute with onion and celery in butter in large saucepan until vegetables are tender. Add soup, milk, salt, dill weed, potatoes and water.

3Mix thoroughly.

4Heat to boiling.

5Reduce heat and boil gently, uncovered, for 5 minutes.

6Stir occasionally.
-
7Makes 6 cups.
