- 6 potatoes
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. grated onion (optional)
Directions

1Peel, then let soak in cold water for several hours the potatoes.

2Drain them well; dry, then grate them coarsely.

3Drain them.

4There should be 2 cupfuls.

5Place them in a bowl.

6Beat well, then stir in the eggs.

7Combine and sift, flour, baking powder and salt.

8Add the flour to the potato mixture with onion. Saute by spoonfuls in 1/4-inch or more of hot fat.

9Turn and brown the second side.

10These are usually served with sour cream or applesauce.
