- 2 lb. ground beef
- 3 c. mashed potatoes (real or instant)
- 1/2 lb. mild Cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- salt, pepper and garlic powder (season to taste)
Directions

1Prepare potatoes.

2Cook and crumble meat; season to taste with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

3Drain fat from meat.

4Return meat to pan and add soup (don't add water).

5Stir over medium heat; cook well.

6In 2 1/2-quart casserole dish (ungreased), place a layer of potatoes.

7Cover bottom.
-
8Add a layer of meat and soup mixture.

9Cover top with cheese.
-
10Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes or until cheese melts.
