- 1 yeast cake
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 2/3 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. mashed potatoes
- 1 c. scalded milk, cooled in cold water
- 2 eggs
- 6 to 8 c. flour
Directions

1Mash potatoes; add shortening, sugar, salt and eggs.

2Cream well.

3Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water; add to lukewarm milk.

4Add to potato mixture.

5Add sifted flour to make dough stiff.

6Pour on floured board.

7Knead well.

8Put in a bowl and will double in bulk overnight.

9Take out what you need.

10Roll out.

11Grease with butter. Leave remainder in refrigerator.
