Ingredients
- 1 to 2 cakes dry yeast, dissolved in 1/4 c. water
- 1 c. mashed potatoes
- 1 c. potato water
- 1 c. sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. shortening
- 4 to 7 c. flour
Directions

1Mix the first four ingredients together.

2Beat eggs, then add salt and shortening.

3Mix with first mixture.

4Then add flour and knead like bread.

5Place in greased bowl.

6Cover and keep punched down until you want to bake.

7Then pinch off small pieces and work in a ball.

8Place on greased pan close together.

9Let raise. Bake at 400° for 10 to 15 minutes.
