  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 12 teaspoons baking powder
  • 4 tablespoons margarine or 4 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup warm mashed potatoes
  • 1 egg
  • 14 cup buttermilk
  • 14 cup finely chopped watercress leaf

    Sift dry ingredients together cut in margarine/butter.

    Blend in potatoes and watercress.

    Beat egg with buttermilk and add to mixture.

    Rll out dough 1/2 inch thick, using enough extra flour to keep it from sticking.

    Cut in triangles.

    Bake at 400F for minutes.
