  • 1/2 c. margarine, melted
  • 1 c. flour
  • 6 c. chicken broth
  • 3 c. milk
  • 1 lb. frozen hash browns, slightly thawed
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Directions

    In a 4-quart pot, mix margarine and flour over low heat; slowly add chicken broth, stirring until smooth.
