  • 8 to 9 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 2 to 3 carrots, diced
  • 6 celery stalks, diced
  • 2 qt. water
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 1 to 1 1/2 lb. bacon, cooked
  • 6 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 6 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
