- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup margarine

1In a saucepan, melt margarine, add flour, salt and pepper.

2When that is mixed together good, it will form a pasty looking doughy texture.

3Add the chicken broth.

4Stir until there are no lumps.

5I have better luck getting the lumps out when I use a whisk.

6Anyway, once the lumps are gone, pour the sauce over the potato and onions, cover with foil and bake for about an hour.

7I sometimes brown pork chops in a skillet and place them on top of the potatoes and cover with foil.
