  • 1 lb. butter or margarine, softened
  • 6 eggs, room temperature
  • 4 c. plain flour
  • 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 1 tsp. lemon flavoring

    Combine sugar and butter.

    Cream until light and fluffy.

    Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Add flour to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition.

    Pour batter into well-greased 10-inch tube pan.

    Bake at 300° for 1 hour and 40 minutes or until cake tests done.
