- 1/2 lb. butter
- 3 c. sugar
- pinch of salt
- 6 eggs, at room temperature
- 3 c. cake flour
- 1 c. heavy cream (not whipped)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

2Add 1 egg at a time, beating after each one.

3Add flour and cream alternately. Beat well.

4Stir in vanilla.

5Grease a 10-inch tube pan.

6Place in a cold oven.

7Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours or until tested done.
