  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 1/2 c. self-rising flour
  • dash of salt
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 2 sticks margarine
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 large can evaporated milk
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp. powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla flavoring
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon flavoring
  • 1 Tbsp. almond flavoring
  • 1 Tbsp. butter flavoring

Directions

    Sift the plain flour, self-rising flour and dash of salt.

    Mix all the ingredients together with a mixer.

    Mix well for about 10 to 15 minutes. The longer you beat it, the smoother the cake. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until done.
