- 1/2 lb. margarine
- 1/2 c. vegetable shortening
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. plain flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/4 c. milk
- 1 Tbsp. lemon flavoring
Directions

1Cream margarine and shortening.

2Add sugar gradually.

3Add eggs, one at a time.

4Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Add to mixture alternately with milk.

5Add lemon flavoring.

6Pour batter into large tube pan that has been greased and dusted with flour.

7Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.
