Pound Cake

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks oleo or butter
  • 2 scant c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 c. flour (plain)
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cream the oleo and sugar thoroughly. Add 1 whole egg at a time alternately with the flour. Beat 1 minute after adding each egg. Add vanilla and continue beating about 2 minutes.

    Pour into ungreased stem pan and bake for about 30 minutes or until cake springs back when touched.

    I like to add 1 teaspoon almond flavoring.
