- 3 c. sugar
- 1 c. butter (room temperature)
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 5 eggs (room temperature)
- 3 c. Swans Down flour
- 1 c. milk (room temperature)
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. lemon flavoring
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Cream butter, Crisco and sugar until sugar melts or dissolves. Add eggs, one at a time.

2Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.

3Add flour and milk alternately to creamed mixture.

4Add flavoring.

5Bake in preheated oven at 325° for 1 1/2 hours.

6If oven bakes fast, bake for 1 1/4 hours.
