- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. plain flour
- 6 eggs
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. lemon juice
- 2 sticks butter, softened to room temperature
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Have butter and lemon juice at room temperature.

3Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan.

4Mix sugar and butter together until smooth.

5Mix baking powder and flour together.

6Beat in the eggs, one at a time, into butter-sugar mixture.

7Sift a little of the flour mixture over the butter-sugar-egg mixture and stir it in.

8Continue doing this until flour mixture is used, beating well after each addition. Add lemon juice last and mix together.

9Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes.
