- 1 stick butter
- 1 stick margarine
- 1/3 c. Crisco
- 3 c. sugar
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. plain flour
- 1 c. sweet milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Directions

1Grease and flour well a 10-cup tube pan.

2Cream butter, margarine and Crisco for about 4 minutes.

3Add sugar, 1 cup at a time, and cream about 4 minutes each.

4Add eggs, 1 at a time, just until yellow disappears.

5Add flour, 1 cup at a time, alternately with milk.

6Add vanilla and nutmeg.

7Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325° or until cake is done.
