- 1 lb. light brown sugar
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. shortening
- 5 eggs
- 3 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions

1Cream sugars and shortening in mixer bowl.

2Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.

3Sift flour, baking powder and salt 3 times.

4Add to creamed mixture, alternately with milk, mixing well after each addition.

5Mix in vanilla.

6Pour into greased Bundt pan.

7Bake at 375° for 1 hour.

8Cool.

9Invert onto serving plate.
