  • 1 c. butter
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon flavoring
  • 4 c. plain flour (sift first, then measure)
  • 1 c. milk

Directions

    Cream the first 3 ingredients until light and fluffy.

    Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg, vanilla and lemon flavoring. Add the flour alternately with the milk.

    Grease and flour tube pan. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Do not open the oven while cake is cooking.
