- 1 c. butter
- 3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 6 eggs
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. lemon flavoring
- 4 c. plain flour (sift first, then measure)
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Cream the first 3 ingredients until light and fluffy.

2Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg, vanilla and lemon flavoring. Add the flour alternately with the milk.

3Grease and flour tube pan. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Do not open the oven while cake is cooking.
