Chickpeas With Pasta

  • 1 can Progresso chickpeas
  • 1/4 lb. linguini or spaghettini
  • 3 c. water
  • 4 whole garlic cloves, slit
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • dash of oregano
  • 3 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/4 c. spaghetti sauce (any kind)

Directions

    Pour all contents from chickpeas, including liquid, into 6 or 8-cup saucepan.

    Add 3 cups water, garlic, salt, pepper, oil, sauce and oregano.

    Simmer until chickpeas are tender, about 30 minutes.

    Cook pasta separately and drain well.

    Add to main ingredients when done.

    Let simmer another 5 minutes so the pasta will absorb the flavor.
