- 8 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. half and half
- 3/4 c. and 1 Tbsp. brown sugar, packed
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 8 (3/4-inch thick) slices sourdough bread
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1/2 c. maple syrup
- 3/4 c. coarsely chopped pecans
Directions

1In a bowl, thoroughly blend eggs, half and half, 1 tablespoon brown sugar and vanilla.

2Pour half of egg mixture into 13 x 9-inch baking dish.

3Place bread slices in mixture, trimming to fit, if necessary.

4Pour remaining egg mixture over bread.

5Cover and refrigerate several hours or overnight.
