Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 Tbsp. corn syrup
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 2 Tbsp. butter

Directions

    Stir together sugar, salt, soda, corn syrup and buttermilk. Cook over low heat without stirring to 236°, or soft ball stage. Move from heat and add vanilla and butter.

    Let cool to 120° and beat until creamy.

    Stir in nuts and quickly drop by spoonful onto waxed paper.
