- 2 c. pecan halves, toasted
- 3 c. granulated sugar
- 1 c. evaporated milk
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3 Tbsp. butter
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. broken pecans
Directions

1Toast 2 cups of pecans for 5 minutes in 350° oven.

2Place 1 cup of sugar in small pot.

3Cook on low heat and stir until melted. While this is cooking, place 2 cups of sugar and milk in a large pot and cook until it is about to come to a boil.

4Pour melted sugar into milk and sugar while stirring.

5Cook to a soft boil (238°), then drop into cold water to see if it forms a firm ball. Take off the heat.

6Add salt, butter, vanilla and pecans.

7Stir until this begins to thicken.

8Drop a tablespoon at a time onto aluminum foil and let dry.

9Peel off foil and store pralines.
