  • 2 c. sugar
  • 2 1/4 c. pecan halves
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. light corn syrup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Heat sugar, syrup, water and pecans in a heavy pan until sugar is dissolved. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally, until it reaches the soft-ball stage (240°). Remove pan from heat; add butter and vanilla.
